Haiti - Tourism : The week of Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin

This week, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, has participated in a meeting of the Investments Directorate (MTD) and the Groupe Gestion et Avenir S.A (Gestasa S.A), in the perspective of a search for lasting solutions to the barriers preventing the start of some tourism investment projects in the North.

Thursday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, attended the presentation of a project having for name "Project of awareness and of attitude change of the public in relation to tourism", this presentation was made by the team of the Unit of Studies and Programming of Ministry. That same day, trainers of College Mont-Morency, under the Ministry of Tourism of Haiti in the presence of the Minister, have provided a training of Inspector of hotel establishments, to the Hotel School of Port-au-Prince.

Friday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin accompanied by several members of the Department, met with Deputy Secretary of the Organization of American States (OAS), around of projects of awareness campaign on tourism, of support to the Small and Medium Enterprises in the tourism sector in Management and Supervision. In addition, the OAS, is planning a General Assembly in Haiti in 2015. In early 2013, the Minister of Tourism, will travel to Washington for the presentation of its strategic program.
