Haiti - Diplomacy : The Prime Minister in Mexico

The Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe left the country on Friday to Mexico to attend the takeover of the new Mexican president, Enrique Peña Nieto.

The Head of Government, will ake advantage of his 3-day visit in Mexico, to meet with members of the Mexican private sector to explore business opportunities for Haiti.

In addition, as part of efforts made by the administration Martelly-Lamothe to improve the working environment of Haitian officials abroad, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the new premises of the Embassy of Haiti, more spacious more attractive and comfortable allowing to project a better image of Haiti in Mexico. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-7290-haiti-news-some-news-here-and-there.html

This inauguration comes at a time when Haiti, has just completed its first investment forum in Mexico, organized by the Investment Facilitation Center (CFI), together with the Embassy of Haiti, in conjunction with the Embassy of Haiti, Foreign Relations of Mexico, the Mexican Council of Entrepreneurs (COMCE) and the Mexican Embassy in Haiti. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-7192-haiti-economy-first-investment-forum-haiti-mexico.html

"This measure falls within the scope of the new measures taken by my Government, at a time when we must receive important business men and women that us motivate to invest in Haiti, it is important to discuss with them in a pleasant environment," stressed the Prime Minister before leaving for Mexico.
