On the occasion of Christmas, the Departmental Directorate of Southeast, in collaboration with the Event Tourism Committee of Jacmel, of the Tourist Association of Southeast of Hait and the Department of Tourism South organizes of activities aimed at showcase the talent of local artisans of the Great South and enhance Haitian cuisine at the Christmas Market, which will be held from December 14 to 16 at tourist port of Jacmel.

This event will help to showcase, the role of the crafts in the development of Haitian tourism product. From Christmas tree decorated with care by the most talented artisans of the region, to the craft corner Special Christmas through the corner gourmet with local products and regional liquors, festive menus, Christmas cakes, not to mention the various fun activities for children, the different manufacturing workshops of craftsmen of the Workshop School of Jacmel, orchestral concerts of Haiti and Santo Domingo, manger and a visit from Santa.

Beyond the desire to present to the visitors typical products of Christmas of South East and South, the primary objective of this event is to encourage them to visit the region and thus increase the number of tourists. Hence the establishment this year, on the site of the Christmas market, of a space dedicated to the promotion of tourism in the Great South.
