Haiti - Politic : The members of Bureau of Senate, reelected

Tuesday afternoon in plenary session, 16 senators present, have decided to reelect the current bureau for a term of one year. According to them, the team is able to meet the challenges of the moment, because of its good mastery of the socio-political and economic context. The bureau is composed of Dieuseul Desras Simon, President, Andrice Riché, Vice President, Fritz Carlos Lebon, Quaestor, Steven Irvenson Benoit, 1st secretary and Joseph Joel John, 2nd secretary. In this re-election, the member of the Bureau signed a pact with 18 recommendations to improve the functioning of the Senate "This is a good thing [...] this compromise avoid new troubles among colleagues," declared the senator Benoit.

Note that the Senators Jean Maxime Roumer, Willy Jean-Baptiste and Moïse Jean-Charles, although absent to this session participated in the vote by procuration. Only Senator François Anick Joseph, also absent, did not give set instructions.

At the lower house, the election of new Bureau, scheduled for Tuesday was postponed on Wednesday, for logistical issues. The Deputy John Tolbert Alexis, President of the majority bloc "Parliamentarians for Stability and Progress" (PSP), which won the primary of Block, is well positioned to take the Presidency of the Bureau, as successor to the Deputy, Levaillant Louis-Jeune.
