Thursday, January 24, the new Minister of Communication, Ms. Regine Godfrey, in the presence among other of outgoing Minister, Mr. Ady Jean Gardy, of Director General of Radio Television Nationale d'Haiti (RTNH), Mr. Emmanuel Ménard, of Deputy Director General, Mr. Gamall Augustin, Deputy Director General, Mr. Gamall Augustin, Director General of the Ministry of Trade, Luc Especa, the Electoral Adviser, Jean Mary Reynaldo Brunet, President of the Lower House, Jean Tolbert Alexis, and former Secretary of State for Communication, Mr. Joseph Guyler C. Delva was installed in office by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr. Wilson Laleau.

The Minister Laleau praised the dynamism of the new Communications Minister that in 6 months, has given excellent results at the head of the Post Office in Haiti (OPH). Wilson Laleau asks to Ms. Godefroy ensure the articulation of communication and of the information between the population and the Government for sustainable development.

The outgoing Minister, Ady Jean Gardy gave an overview of the actions undertaken during his time at the head of the Ministry of Communication, where he was the first holder since its inception in May 2012, and introduced his successor, as a competent person, who has already proved its abilities at the OPH and invited Ms. Godfrey to put at the service of the Ministry of Communication, the same determination and vision, carriers of results.

The new Minister after the customary exchange of courtesies insisted on the New Orientations of the institution she is called to lead and on which rests the heavy responsibility to publicize the orientations and actions of the Government, she promised to use all the tools offered by the New Technologies of Information and Communication, to revitalize this ministry and propel it to the dimension of communication institutions to international standard.
