David Lin Yung-Lo, the Chancellor of the Republic of China (Taiwan), as part of his tour in the Caribbean, arrived in Haiti this Tuesday, for a 48-hour visit.

According to the Chinese Embassy in Haiti during his stay "the Chancellor Taiwanese, David Lin Yung-Lo, will hold talks with his counterpart Pierre-Richard Casimir and will also be received by the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe and President Michel Martelly to discuss the relations of cooperation and thanks for the strong support of the Haitian government towards the Government of the Republic of China on the international scene."

Chancellor Lin, will take advantage of his short stay to visit the construction site, of 4.5 kilometers of road linking Gérald Bataille to the Boulevard of 15 Octobre, funded by the Taiwanese government to the tune of 9 million U.S. dollars. This work, carried out by the Taiwanese firm OECC should be completed before the end of 2013.
