Haiti - Tourism : Opening soon of the Institute of hospitality training of Les Cayes

The Ministry of Tourism will open May 3, the Institute of hospitality training of Les Cayes (IFORHT), the establishment, housed on more than 2 carreaux of land, is a former base of Senegalese soldiers of the Minustah, refitted by the authorities of the Ministry of Tourism in the South. It will be the first training school in the trades of Tourism at the level of the third-largest city.

The Hotel Macaya of Port-Salut, will serve of application center for students of the Institute. In this perspective, the Ministry will shortly undertake of rehabilitation and redevelopment works of the hotel for the proper functioning of the IFORHT.

Ms. Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism recalled that training is one of the priority areas of intervention of the Ministry and reaffirmed its willingness to continue its policy of training in the supervision and construction of new training centers to improve the quality of services related at the reception in the destination Haiti.
