The Pastor Jean Chavannes Jeune (Alliance chrétienne citoyenne pour la reconstruction d'Haïti - ACCRHA) has warned candidates tempted to use the cholera epidemic as a pretext for postponing elections.

"I imagine that those which draw the strings from the elections must feel uncomfortable by seeing the population completely decided to take part in it, whereas their intentions was to have less participants possible to be able to scheme" said candidate Jean Chavannes Jeune. A view shared by Jean David Génesté Senate candidate for whom the postponement of elections can only help the pro-government candidates, who have more financial resources than the other candidates to raise campaign.

Concerning the existence of an organization called Association Nationale des Leaders Evangéliques - ASNALE which supported Jacques Edouard Alexis and appealed to Christians to support the former prime minister, Jean Chavannes, in front of the support of one of its adversaries by a Christian movement, said itself astonished "I am very familiar with the evangelical community and I would know if such organization existed" saying that perhaps it was an organization that existed in name only "created for the elections of November 28"...
