For a week now the National Technical Directorate (DTN) is engaged in a campaign of detection of young football players born in 2004 to join the Academy "Camp Nou"; given the reduced accommodation capacity and in order to reach as many young people as possible, detection was done on a regional basis in more than 17 regions. The young candidates selected during this 1st Phase will be evaluated in a 2nd Phase and finally 30 young people will be selected.

The main difficulty encountered so far is attempts at age fraud that have become a plague, with the falsification of birth certificates, baptismal certificates or even birth certificate "loans"; we will continue to be vigilant and intolerant vis-à-vis late-filing birth certificates or other...

These young players will make their first international debut shortly in St-Martin, then they will participate in the U-14 Caribbean Championship and next year at the CONCACAF U-15 Championship.

Remember that this detection should have been done last year but for lack of resources it had been postponed several times. This 1st Phase costs nearly 600,000 gourdes and is financed by FORWARD.

In June / July a new detection of girls born in 2007 will be realized, an earlier age because they do not have the same opportunities to play as boys. The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) thinks that the ideal and this is the goal, is to set up soon, 24 federal academies elite female and male, who will support the training of young people to 8 / 10 years as well as their schooling to bring them to an accomplished athletic development.
