Sunday as part of the first phase of the qualifiers of the Women's World Cup France 2019 our Grenadières, after defeating Martinique without difficulty [2-0] https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24357-haiti-football-france-2019-elimination-first-victory-of-grenadieres.html then Guadeloupe [11-0] https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-24360-icihaiti-france-2019-eliminatory-our-grenadieres-crushed-guadeloupe-[11-0].html had to win the victory against Jamaica to qualify for the second round of the playoffs, while a draw for the Raggae Girls was enough to qualify them.

Despite a good start in the first period when our Grenadières dominated Jamaica's given favorite, Melchie Daelle Dumornay opening the scoring for Haiti to 24' [1-0] followed at the 43rd by a goal from Sherly Jeudy, Jamaica managed in end of period 44' with a shot by Trudi Carter to reduce the score [2-1]

Back from the locker room, while our Grenadières dreamed of qualifying by leading [2-1] the Raggae Girls have all questioned in equalizing with a shot from Kadhija at 21' [2-2].

After this goal our Grenadières were not convincing unable to find the nets of the Jamaican to pocket the ticket qualifying.

The Jamaican Raggae Girls finish with 7 points "tied" with the Grenadière of Haiti, but the difference in goals (18 for Jamaica and 15 for Haiti) allowed Jamaica to pocket the ticket for the pursuit of the 2019 France qualifiers.

Sadness and criticism of fans, facing Jamaica who remains so far the ruthless opponent of our senior selections both women and men.
