After the failure on Wednesday of the appointment of members of the new Bureau of the Senate, the session postponed to Thursday ended, again on a failure, due to lack of consensus. Despite hours of negotiations agitated, the majority group (INITE) and minority Senators were unable to agree on the whole of the appointment of new Bureau.

If Rudolph Joazile to the Presidency, Francky Excius, First Secretary and Hyppolite Mélius, second secretary are mostly "accepted", it is now the post of Vice-President which poses problem. Coveted by Sen. Andrys Riché (Alternative), Joseph Lambert, national coordinator of INITE and leader of the majority, is opposed to this choice saying that his colleague, the Senator Jean Hector Anacacis has been designated to be the number two in the new Bureau.

Sen. Rich has vigorously denounced the will of representatives of the ruling party, to want to continue to "lead the Senate to their own benefit." In addition, he qualified of "intelligent dirty trick" the decision of INITE to support the candidacy to the "quaestor" of Senator Evallière Beauplan...

Nevertheless, at the end of this second day of negotiations without a solution, the Senator Lambert, has announced with confidence, the election for this Friday of the new Bureau which will be followed by the meeting of the both Houses in the National Assembly,

for the opening of the first regular session of the 49th legislature, as provided in the parliamentary calendar...
