The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has received new funding to continue its programs of assistance, through employment opportunities for people living with HIV/AIDS in Haiti. The resources brought by the United States, will allow to maintain these programs, initiated by the IOM, throughout the year.

These programs include information workshops on HIV/AIDS which also serve of discussion forum for other health problems. The IOM reported that at least 65% of workers in these projects, are HIV positive and that short term jobs, are an important source of income for Haitian families recalling that these programs have employed about 17,000 people since the earthquake of January 2010.
