Haiti - Politic : Statement of Dr. Conille to the Senate, Thursday ?

The general policy statement of the Government, that the new Prime Minister must do, is constantly postponed. The Senator Rudolph Joazile, President of the Senate declared yesterday "...we received a letter from the new Prime Minister Garry Conille that asks us to postpone the presentation of the general policy to tomorrow Wednesday, but we have conditioned this request to the reception by the Bureau of the Senate of the General Policy of the Prime Minister. We said that if we do not have the document in hand, at least 24 hours in advance we can not hold the meeting. It is already 3pm and so far we have not received this document, so I think we will not able to make this meeting tomorrow [Wednesday], probably, we will do it Thursday [...] I am not in the political negotiations, the Senators are paying to come to meetings, that's why they are paying, so the affairs of political negotiations that are made it's something else, what is important is that we have three days of session, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday..."

Concerning a unfavorable vote in the Senate, the issue of a new statement, the number number of times that this exercise can be repeated, or that a vote of no confidence arises, to this issue, the President of the Senate explained "we don't have a law that addresses this issue [...] I can not say how many times, the Constitution has not set a deadline for that. [...] For the moment the Prime Minister did not made any political action that would have resulted in a loss of confidence, the confidence he had when he was ratified. He had an overwhelming majority in the House of Deputies, a majority in the Senate of the Republic and he has done nothing so that this majority is crumbling according to me."
