The President Michel Martelly, accompanied by Prime Minister Garry Conille, participated yesterday October 24, to the official ceremony of installation of the new Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship, Laurent Lamothe which succeeds to Ms. Marie Michèle Rey. The ceremony took place in the premises of MAE in Bois-Verna in presence of several government ministers, parliamentarians and representatives of the Diplomatic Corps.

The Head of State invited the Chancellor, that he considers as an experienced fighter, to get to work to promote Haiti's around the world. He reminded him of the necessity to take concrete actionto encourage the friends of Haiti to become true investors in the country.

Former Minister Marie Michèle Rey has wished "the greater good", according to her words, for the Chancellery and promises to remain available for Mr. Lamothe. For his part, the new holder of the Ministry, Laurent Lamothe, gave in his speech, the guarantee that he will multiply the efforts to revitalize and modernize this prestigious institution whose mission is to enhance the country on the diplomatic level.
