The new Parliament building, whose cost amounts 1.9 million dollars, is financed and built by the Office of Initiatives of Transition of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). This space will house the parliament for several years, pending the construction of a permanent structure to house the National Assembly.

The building is built on an area of over 22,000 square meters and includes two buildings connected by a common meeting room.
