Haiti - Politic : Laurent Lamothe welcomes the election of Ambassador J.W. Cazeau to the JIU

The Foreign Minister Laurent Lamothe, has learned with great satisfaction, the election on behalf of Haiti, this Tuesday, November 22, of the Ambassador Jean Wesley Cazeau as Member of the Joint Inspection Unit (JIU) of the Organization of the United Nations (UN) for the period 2013-2017. This structure of the UN, which is composed of 11 members, is empowered to conduct investigations and inspections, and provide independent point of view in order to improve the management and methods, and ensure greater coordination between the organizations of the UN system. The arrival of the representative of Haiti within this important body aims to fill the vacant seat reserved for the Group of States of Latin America and the Caribbean.
