Haiti - Politic : PM Pays Tribute to Kenyan Police Officers

On Thursday, December 12, 2024, as part of Jamhuri Day which commemorates the independence and sovereignty of Kenya, which symbolizes universal values ​​shared by the two Nations, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé visited the base of Kenyan police officers deployed in Haiti as part of the Multinational Security Support Mission (MMSS).

During this visit, the Head of Government conveyed, on behalf of the Haitian people, his congratulations and fraternal greetings to the people and Government of Kenya,

He also expressed his deep gratitude to the Kenyan Government and its President William Ruto for their exemplary leadership in the MMSS. "This mission, conducted with determination and commitment, illustrates Kenya's firm desire to support the Haitian people in their quest for security and stability."

The Prime Minister took the opportunity to reaffirm his Government's commitment to boosting bilateral relations between Haiti and Kenya.

He stressed "this exemplary collaboration is a strong symbol of international solidarity and fraternity between the two peoples, particularly in the context of challenges such as :

• The fight against insecurity;

• Justice and respect for the rule of law;

• Sustainable economic recovery;

• Constitutional reform;

• The upcoming organization of credible and inclusive elections.

Haiti is celebrating Jamhuri Day today alongside its Kenyan brothers and sisters and reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the friendship that binds the two Nations. Long live the friendship between Haiti and Kenya !"
