Gang leader lynched

On Monday, December 30, 2024, agents of the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) handed over to the Haitian National Police (PNH) Faro Markenson alias "Tibab" a Haitian gang leader actively wanted for his participation in the murders of several police officers. Faro Markenson had been arrested Sunday in Navarrete and then taken to Santiago de los Caballeros for investigation according to a military source. A few minutes after crossing the border bridge that connects Dajabón to Ounaminthe under escort of the PNH, a crowd of angry Haitians took Markenson from the hands of the PNH and lynched him before setting fire to his corpse...

PNH demolished part of the wall of the cemetery of Port-au-Prince

On December 26, agents of the heavy equipment service of the Haitian National Police (PNH) accompanied by SWAT officers, demolished part of the fence wall of the cemetery of Port-au-Prince that was used by bandits as a firing point during exchanges of fire with the police.

Refugee camp, mobile clinic

BSEIPH : Distribution of food kits and hygiene materials

On Sunday, December 29, the Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (BSEIPH) organized a distribution of food kits and hygiene materials in Delmas, benefiting many people with reduced mobility living in camps. Genard Joseph, the Secretary of State for Persons with Disabilities, stressed that this distribution was part of a broader program aimed at promoting the dignity of persons with disabilities, recalling "The dignity of these people must not be limited to a simple hot dish."
