On Thursday, January 16, 2025, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, accompanied by Me Patrick Pélissier, Minister of Justice and Public Security, held a summit meeting with members of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ).

This meeting was an opportunity for the Head of Government to emphasize the need for good and frank collaboration between the Executive and the judiciary.

In this perspective, Fils-Aimé said he was aware of the serious difficulties encountered by the justice system in fulfilling its mission for the benefit of the population due to the persistence of the climate of insecurity in certain parts of the territory.

Recalling the synergy that must exist between the two powers in order to better tackle the problems caused by armed gangs, the Prime Minister took the opportunity to report on the measures already adopted by his administration since his installation two months ago, among others:

- The increase in the amount of the police debit card;

The Prime Minister also highlighted the measures taken on the judicial level by the Minister of Justice to allow the resumption of the activities of the Port-au-Prince Court, including the rental of a very suitable space in Delmas 75. He also emphasized the resumption of judicial activities and the opening of the newly created jurisdictions which will have to be planned jointly between the Minister of Justice and the members of the CSPJ.

Prime Minister Fils-Aimé said he was determined to work in common accord with the other bodies of the Evctat in order to enable the country to overcome the ills that are eating away at it, particularly insecurity, and to return as quickly as possible to the path of institutional normality.
