Arrest of 7 members of the "Koko Rat San Ras" gang

On Friday, January 24, 2025, as part of a control operation, the Haitian National Police (PNH), intercepted on National Road #1, between Estère and Gonaïves 7 individuals presumed members of the "Koko Rat San Ras" gang who were traveling aboard a minibus with passengers: Frantzdy Glaude (26 years old), repeat offender; Fritznel Jacksaint (25) alias "Sim pa dou"; Gueslin Joseph (42) alias "Nèlin"; Michel Philippe (41) alias "Ti Mako"; Michelin Sénat (58) Socrate Joseph (43 ), alias "Soso" and Wadner Dorvil (47).

Voltaire's request to the Pope

Death of football player Charleston Atisson

The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) learned with great sadness of the death of football player Charleston Atisson, which occurred in Mirebalais on Saturday, January 25, 2025. A former player of AS Mirebalais and FICA, Charleston Atisson had also proudly worn the colors of Haiti by representing our country in the youth selections. The FHF extends its most sincere condolences to his family, his loved ones, as well as to the entire football community affected by this loss. May his soul rest in peace.

Elections and the Private Sector:/B>

Councilor Laurent Saint-Cyr of the Transition Council organized, on January 23, 2025, at the Oasis Hotel, a meeting with representatives of various private sector associations to discuss the organization of elections in Haiti. On this occasion, experts Benzico Pierre and Bingel Victor presented the Haitian electoral system as well as the logistical and organizational challenges related to the process.
