A Gang Leader killed

"Ti Gérard", one of the gang leaders operating in the commune of Montrouis, Artibonite department, was killed in an exchange of fire with law enforcement officers. In retaliation, gang members attacked the police station, injuring 4 police officers, one of whom was seriously injured : Thomas Emmanuel Fils, was from the 33rd promotion of the PNH assigned to the Departmental Unit for Maintaining Order (UDMO) who succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

Asset declarations, neglected

The Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC) deplores that out of 3,458 asset declaration forms upon entry into office of public officials subject to this obligation, only 279 exit declarations were completed between March 2008 and May 2022, while 35,246 public officials are subject to this obligation !

Contribution to Carnivals under criticism

Atlanta does not forget its compatriots in prison

Earlier this week, a delegation from the Consulate General of Haiti in Atlanta led by Post Chief Marie Orlyne René Colas visited some of our compatriots who are detained at Stewart Prison to inquire about their situation with a view to assisting them.
