Fort-National : BOID Base attacked

Lionel Lazarre, Deputy Spokesperson for the Haitian National Police (PNH), confirmed that heavily armed individuals attacked the base of the Departmental Operation and Intervention Brigade (Boid), in Fort-National, specifying that the attackers had been repelled thanks to the vigilance of Boid agents, aided by reinforcements.

Towards the launch of the "Sembrando la Vida" project

Towards the launch of the "Sembrando la Vida" (Sowing Life) project. Agronomist Vernet Joseph, Minister of Agriculture, met with Mexico's chargé d'affaires in Haiti, Jesús Cisneros. Already implemented in El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala, this program aims to combat rural poverty and deforestation by promoting job creation and increasing income through the cultivation of fruit trees and marketable timber. Its implementation in Haiti will be a first in the Caribbean region.

New DG at OFNAC

Raphaël Hosty, Minister of Public Works, Transport and Communications, has officially installed Réginald Guignard as the new Director General of the National Office of Civil Aviation (OFNAC). With around thirty years of experience within OFNAC, Guignard has a perfect command of the workings of the institution as well as the functioning of the civil aviation sector. In his speech, the Minister paid tribute to the efforts of the outgoing Director General, Lieutenant Colonel Laurent Joseph Dumas, who laid the foundations for solid institutional development

Launch of the "REVIV" Project

The Knowledge and Freedom Foundation (FOKAL) and the Delegation of the European Union in Haiti, announce the launch of the “Revitalization and Visibility of the Cultural Sector of Haiti” (REVIV) Project, an initiative aimed at highlighting the richness and diversity of Haitian culture. The REVIV project will support the creation and dissemination of the arts, knowledge about Haitian art and new cultural expressions. The project will actively involve artists and cultural actors, particularly those who have been affected by the recent crises and turbulence in Haiti.
