Gangs : Coordinated attacks

Tuesday, February 25, 2025, following coordinated gang attacks, numerous automatic weapons fire was reported in Port-au-Prince, causing high tensions and panic among the population in Nazon, Delmas 17, Delmas 30, Sarthe, at Carrefour Drouillard, Carrefour Vincent, in Tabarre 25, Tabarre 27 and Fleuriot among others…

Delmas 30 : 2 FAd’H soldiers killed

Early in the morning on Tuesday, February 25, armed bandits invaded the Delmas 30 neighborhood, shooting in all directions. Houses were set on fire, according to testimonies from local residents who reported several people killed and many injured. Families were forced to flee the area to save their lives. Other neighboring neighborhoods such as Delmas 17 and 19 are also under high tension in the face of the rapid advance of gangs in the commune. Two FAd’H soldiers : Eric Jean and Kempès Basille were reportedly killed by the bandits according to sources close to the victims.

5 bandits killed, weapons seized

Earlier this week, 5 bandits were fatally injured in an exchange of fire with Haitian National Police officers in Léogane. Two M4 rifles and a 9mm caliber pistol were seized. An 11-year-old child was fatally injured by a stray bullet...

PM : "No referendum or elections without security"

On Monday, February 24, 2025, during a press briefing for his first 100 days as Head of Government, Alix Didier Fils-Aimé declared "Security is the condition for the success of the transition. There will be no referendum or elections without security" emphasizing "Our commitment to restoring security is marked by a massive investment in equipment for the PNH and better support for police officers and civilian employees of the police" specifying that in the amended budget the envelope dedicated to security will be doubled.
