Haiti - Politic : The new Director General of OFATMA commits to a strategic reform

Vikerson Garnier, the new Director General of the Office for Workplace Accident, Sickness, and Maternity Insurance (OFATMA), has embarked on a strategic reform aimed at correcting past injustices, rebuilding trust with employees, and strengthening social protection within the institution.

Restoring equity : An act of social justice :

He announced the official appointment of the 26 contract support staff assigned to the central office, who had long faced precarious situations, having been denied the rights and benefits to which they were legitimately entitled. This decision marks a turning point under his leadership.

This initiative is part of his commitment to correcting past mistakes and ensuring that every worker is recognized and treated according to the standards established by law.

Empowering and visionary leadership :

Under his leadership, OFATMA is taking a decisive turn toward modern, fairer, and more professional management. The regularization process for management staff continues alongside the appointment of contract staff, with the aim of creating a stable and motivating work environment for all employees. This readjustment is accompanied by a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening institutional capacity and establishing more transparent and inclusive management mechanisms.

Continued reform and structural strengthening :

In addition to the regularization of contract staff, the regularization process for management staff continues. This approach aims to provide all staff with greater stability and long-term career opportunities.
