Last year (2024), 276,215 Haitians were repatriated, and in 2025, from January 1st to March 31, 86,406. These immigration controls were carried out in Greater Santo Domingo, La Romana, La Altagracia, San Pedro de Macorís, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, Azua, Santiago Rodríguez, Moca, Duarte Province, Loma de Cabrera, Dajabón, Valverde, Monte Cristi, Barahona, Peravia Province, Montecristi, La Vega, and Santiago de los Caballeros, and were carried out in coordination with the assistance of the Ministry of Defense and the Dominican Armed Forces, the National Police, the Public Ministry, Digesett, the "Ciudad Tranquila" (City of Tranquility) Task Force, and other government entities. The DGM reiterated that it would continue to respect the law, the mandate of the Defense and Security Council of the Republic, and the directives of President Luis Abinader, all within the framework of a comprehensive approach aimed at ensuring that repatriation and border control processes are carried out fairly, equitably, and without discrimination.
