Mirebalais : Several Bandits Killed

On Friday, April 18, 2025, as part of ongoing police operations in the commune of Mirebalais, several bandits were fatally injured in exchanges of fire with law enforcement. Two assault rifles and one 9mm pistol were recovered following the clashes.

The IACHR Deeply Concerned

The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) expresses its deep concern about the escalation of violence and the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Haiti, particularly in the capital, Port-au-Prince. The Commission condemns the recent series of gang attacks, which have resulted in significant loss of life, massive population displacement, and serious human rights violations.
