Haiti - Politic : Fight against terrorism, the CPT ready to collaborate with all countries 05/05/2025 10:28:06
In a memo, the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) reiterates that for several months, it has clearly expressed its position on the nature of the crisis that Haiti is experiencing, which is rooted in transnational crime. "This means that actors, both inside and outside the country, are using our territory to organize all kinds of trafficking: drugs, weapons and ammunition, money laundering, etc... To freely carry out their trafficking, they deploy a chain of violence against the population: they rape, loot, vandalize, burn, and kill." The CPT has ratified a "war budget" to stem the tide of domestic bandits, their accomplices, and allies in the international mafia who are sowing terror in the country. He also asked the Prime Minister to give the Minister of Justice the appropriate instructions to ensure that the judicial system handles the cases of citizens sanctioned by other countries. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-44800-haiti-news-zapping.html "The United States' recognition of domestic bandits and their international accomplices as terrorists https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-44822-haiti-politic-us-designates-viv-ansanm-and-gran-grif-as-foreign-terrorist-organizations-official.html constitutes a major step forward in the fight against terrorism in the country. This paves the way for more concrete action, not only against local bandits, but also against their international allies. It sends a strong signal that the Haitian judicial system must mobilize and eradicate the transnational criminal system that has turned Haiti into a living hell for its children." The CPT is willing to collaborate with all countries that wish to contribute to the fight against the scourge of terrorism and transnational crime that is destroying Haiti. It is committed to ensuring that the State serves neither as a refuge nor as a protection for any bandit, whether they wear a tie or a pair of shoes..." See also : HL/ HaitiLibre
