Seizure of weapons and ammunition

On Thursday, May 22, as part of an operation conducted by the National Police and several specialized units, including the Drone Unit, in Pernier, in the commune of Pétion-ville, an area occupied by gang leader Vitelhomme Innocent, several armed bandits were fatally injured, and weapons, ammunition, and other equipment were seized.

U-17 World Cup, Draw

The draw for the FIFA U-17 Men's World Cup Qatar 2025 will be held this Sunday, May 25, 2025, in Doha (capital of Qatar), starting at 8:00 p.m. local time (1:00 p.m. in Haiti). The event will be streamed live on official FIFA platforms, including FIFA.com. Draw procedure: The 48 qualified teams will be divided into 12 groups of four (Groups A to L). They will be placed in four pots of 12 teams, based on their performances in the last five editions of the tournament. The host country, Qatar, will automatically be assigned to position A1 of Group A. Haiti has qualified for this historic edition of the U-17 World Cup. This will be their third participation after 2007 in South Korea and 2019 in Brazil. The draw will determine Haiti's opponents for the group stage.

The PNH thwarts the establishment of a gang

On Friday, May 23, 2025, during a police operation led by the South Police, in the town of Sucrerie Henry, in the commune of Saint-Louis du Sud, aimed at tracking down armed individuals who were attempting to establish a gang base there, two members of Simon Pelé's gang, including Marcelin alias "Ti Ma," were fatally injured in clashes with law enforcement.

D1 Playoffs, Day 1 problem...

The second part of the first day of the playoffs of the D1 Special National Championship AS Capoise vs. Tempête FC and FICA vs. Baltimore SC. Initially scheduled for May 22, the matches were postponed to Friday, May 23, but once again they did not take place. Mobile Clinic Prohibited Without Authorization

The Grand'Anse Health Department informs everyone that it is strictly prohibited for an individual or organization to conduct a Mobile Clinic in the department without its authorization. Anyone wishing to conduct a mobile clinic must send a letter requesting authorization, along with a detailed project, to the Grand'Anse Health Department for review before approval.
