UN Sanctioned : Bank Accounts Freezed in Haiti

At a press conference on Tuesday, June 10, Me Frantz Monclair, Chief Prosecutor of Port-au-Prince, on the instructions of the Ministry of Justice, froze the bank accounts of individuals sanctioned under the United Nations resolutions : Jimmy Chérizier, alias "Barbecue," Johnson André, alias "Izo," Renel Destina, alias "Ti Lapli," Wilson Joseph, alias "Lanmò San Jou," Vitelhomme Innocent, Luckson Elan, and former Deputy Victor Prophane.

To justify this decision, he recalled that the Haitian government is a founding member of the United Nations and that Security Council resolutions are binding on the Haitian government. Regarding the other sanctioned individuals, the Haitian justice system has initiated an international criminal assistance procedure to learn more about the evidence and clues on which countries (the United States, Canada, France, and the Dominican Republic) have based their sanctions against Haitian nationals, so that the Haitian justice system can take action...

2 members of "Viv Ansanm" arrested

The Delmas Police arrested Max Robert Guichette (a prison escapee) and Belabre Saraphina in Delmas 33, both members of the criminal coalition "Viv Ansanm," according to their confessions.

More than 38% of children out of school
