Major Operation in Kenscoff

On July 24, 2025, specialized units of the Haitian National Police (PNH), soldiers of the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd'H), and members of the Task Force were deployed to Kenscoff for a large-scale operation aimed at dislodging bandits from the criminal coalition "Viv Ansanm". Massillon Jean, the acting Mayor of Kenscoff, confirmed the crucial role played by the helicopter in the movement of law enforcement officers. The use of suicide drones enabled the PNH to regain control of several localities occupied by terrorists. More than 300,000 Haitians repatriated in 10 months

On Thursday, July 24, 2025, during a visit to the Haina Immigration Processing Center, Vice Admiral Luis Rafael Lee Ballester, Director General of Immigration (DGM), revealed that between October 1st, 2024, and July 22, 2025, the number of Haitians repatriated due to irregular migration status reached 301,149 (in 10 months).

Inflation Approaches 30%

According to the Haitian Institute of Statistics and Informatics (IHSI), the General Consumer Price Index (CPI, base 100 in 2017-2018) rose from 515.0 in May to 525.0 in June 2025, indicating monthly variations of 1.9% and annual variations of 28.4%, compared to 2% and 27.2% respectively the previous month.

9th Year Exam Correction

As part of monitoring the process of correcting the 9th grade fundamental exam papers and to ensure compliance with the established protocol, Kendy Nicolas, Director of Basic Education, conducted a supervisory visit to the two main correction centers in the West region. This visit allowed him to rigorously verify the implementation of ministerial instructions, particularly regarding the progress of marking exam papers for the four new subjects introduced this year. CSC/CA : 99 New Verifying Agents

99 new verifying agents from the latest recruitment of the Superior Court of Auditors and Administrative Disputes (CSC/CA) were sworn in this week at the plenary hearing of the Council. They pledged to respect professional secrecy and carry out their duties impartially. In his speech, the President of the CSC/CA, Rogavil Boisguéné, asked the young verifiers to "shine the light of hope to which society aspires" through their dedication to their work, their discipline, their courage, and their persevering efforts.

Project to Create a National Oncology Center

Presidential Advisor Louis Gérald Gilles, head of the "Health" project within the Presidential Transition Council (CPT), met on July 24, 2025, at the Villa d'accueil with Chen-hao Hu, Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China) to Haiti, to discuss the project to create a National Oncology Center. This ambitious project aims to ensure equitable access to quality care for people with cancer, with an emphasis on early detection, improving existing treatments, and strengthening psychosocial support for patients and their loved ones.
