More than 300,000 Haitians repatriated in 10 months

On Thursday, July 24, 2025, during a visit to the Haina Immigration Processing Center, Vice Admiral Luis Rafael Lee Ballester, Director General of Immigration (DGM), revealed that between October 1st, 2024, and July 22, 2025, the number of Haitians repatriated due to irregular migration status reached 301,149 (in 10 months).

According to the Haitian Institute of Statistics and Informatics (IHSI), the General Consumer Price Index (CPI, base 100 in 2017-2018) rose from 515.0 in May to 525.0 in June 2025, indicating monthly variations of 1.9% and annual variations of 28.4%, compared to 2% and 27.2% respectively the previous month.

9th Year Exam Correction

As part of monitoring the process of correcting the 9th grade fundamental exam papers and to ensure compliance with the established protocol, Kendy Nicolas, Director of Basic Education, conducted a supervisory visit to the two main correction centers in the West region. CSC/CA : 99 New Verifying Agents

Project to Create a National Oncology Center

Presidential Advisor Louis Gérald Gilles, head of the "Health" project within the Presidential Transition Council (CPT), met on July 24, 2025, at the Villa d'accueil with Chen-hao Hu, Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China) to Haiti, to discuss the project to create a National Oncology Center.
