Rehabilitation of Sports Facilities

Niola Lynn Sarah Dévalis Octavius, Minister of Youth and Sports, accompanied by her Director General, Nathan Laguerre, met on July 29, 2025, with Jose A. Gonzalez Sanmache, Head of Mission for Viva Rio Haiti, to discuss the need to address several sports facilities across the country to improve access and usage conditions. During this meeting, Jose A. Gonzalez Sanmache committed to redeveloping the Carrefour Sports Center, in addition to considering rehabilitation work on other sports facilities.

Recreational Day for Children with Disabilities

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, the Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (BSEIPH), in collaboration with World Relief, organized a recreational day at Quisqueya Chapel in Delmas 75 for children with disabilities. This day was much more than just a fun day. It provided these often marginalized children with an enriching experience in an inclusive, safe, and tailored environment. Games, music, festive meals, hygiene kit distributions, and medical consultations punctuated the entire day.

International Youth Day 2025

As part of the celebration of International Youth Day (IYD) 2025 (August 12, 2025), Minister Dévalis Octavius, accompanied by Director General Nathan Laguerre, held an important working session with representatives from UNESCO and UNICEF. This meeting provided an opportunity to review the main activities planned from August 1 to 12 in the country's ten departments, including talks, workshops, panel discussions, sports activities, training sessions, and competitions, in addition to the official ceremony on August 12.
