USA : $52 million in food aid for four countries, including Haiti

During a press conference, Thomas Pigott, Deputy Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State, announced an additional $52 million in U.S. food aid to the World Food Program (WFP) to enable the delivery of 12,702 metric tons of food, including yellow split peas, rice, vegetable oil, and Super Cereal Plus, a fortified food for children and pregnant women.

Diaspora : Mobile Consulate

In an effort to foster closer ties with the Haitian diaspora, the Haitian Consulate General's Mobile in Miami made a stop in Naples, Florida, a first in the history of this community. This Mobile Consulate allowed many compatriots to benefit from local consular services, which are often difficult to access. It was also an opportunity for the community to express their grievances and concerns regarding the ongoing challenges related to access to official documents.

Return of soldiers from Martinique

The 30 FAd'H soldiers who participated in two weeks of intensive training with the 33rd RIMa of the Armed Forces in the Antilles, in Martinique https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-45388-icihaiti-fad-h-30-soldiers-sent-for-training-in-martinique.html have returned home. France continues its support for capacity building for Haitian security forces.

Launch of Construction of the Quartier Morin High School of Excellence

On Friday, August 1st, 2025, Fritz Alphonse Jean, the President pro tempore of the Transition Council, accompanied by Councilor Leslie Voltaire, the Taiwanese Ambassador to Haiti, Cheng-hao Hu, the Minister of National Education, Antoine Augustin, and Ms. Yvrose Pierre, Acting Mayor of Cap-Haitien, took part in the launch ceremony for the construction of the new building of the Quartier Morin High School of Excellence (Cap-Haitien borough, North Department).

Canada : Embassy of Haiti Closed

The Embassy of Haiti in Canada informs the Haitian community and the general public that its premises will be closed on Monday, August 4, 2025, in observance of the Canadian Civic Holiday (Family Day). Activities will resume on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
