Change of Presidency at the CPT

A change of rotating presidency is planned for August 7, 2025, at the head of the Presidential Transitional Council. Laurent Saint-Cyr, former president of the Haitian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is to replace Fritz Alphonse Jean.

Denial by the Presidency

The Presidency formally denies the rumors spread by certain public figures and recently relayed by several media outlets regarding Presidential Advisor Smith Augustin's trip to the Dominican Republic. Contrary to these unfounded allegations, Advisor Augustin was never detained or questioned in the Dominican Republic. He made a personal trip to neighboring territory, in compliance with current diplomatic procedures and border customs. His entry was authorized by the Dominican authorities. The Presidency condemns the disinformation that, in a tense political climate, fuels malicious speculation and calls on political figures and the media to exercise restraint, verify facts, and strictly adhere to the truth.

Barbecue threatens to attack the Villa d'Accueil (video)

Jimmy Chérizier, alias "Barbecue," leader of the terrorist coalition "Viv ansanm" published a video in which he announced his intention to attack the Villa d'Accueil this Thursday, August 7, 2025.
