CONCACAF Ranking On Friday, September 12, 2025, the Confederation of North, Central American, and Caribbean (CONCACAF) Champions League unveiled its latest rankings for the region's teams. Haiti moved up another place and is now in 8th place with 1,411 points, just behind Jamaica (1,553 points). This ranking is dominated on the podium by Mexico in 1st place (2,024 points), followed by Canada and Panama. Seizure of 600 counterfeit US$100 bills On September 12, 2025, during the inspection of a package from the United States, customs officers seized 596 counterfeit US$100 bills. Southeast : 150 Arrests (Video) On Thursday, September 11, 2025, at a press conference, Municipal Commissioner Gary Victor, Spokesperson for the Southeast Departmental Police Directorate, provided an overview of the operations carried out by the Haitian National Police (PNH) in the department from August 1st to 31, 2025. OAS and the upcoming elections As part of the Inter-American Meeting of Electoral Authorities, Gerardo de Icaza, Director of the Department of Electoral Cooperation and Observation, held a meeting with Patrick Saint-Hilaire, the President of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), to jointly define the OAS's collaboration with Haiti during the upcoming elections. 6.3 million citizens of voting age (85%) have their National Identity Card (CIN) On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, Transitional Presidential Advisor Louis Gérald Gilles visited the National Identification Office (ONI) to learn about the progress of operations related to population identification and electoral preparation. Reynold Guerrier, Director General of the Organization of American States (ONI), revealed that of approximately 7.4 million citizens of voting age, nearly 6.3 million already have their National Identification Card (CIN), a major step toward organizing future elections. The OAS General Secretariat welcomes the joint declaration The General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS) welcomes and strongly supports the joint declaration signed by member states in support of Haiti, as well as the efforts made at the United Nations Security Council to ensure the rapid deployment of a force to combat and counter organized criminal groups and gangs in this Caribbean country.
