CEP : New Administrative Bureau

On Friday, September 19, 2025, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) acquired a new administrative office. Elected members of the new board :

President : Jacques Desrosiers (Press Sector)

Vice-President : Jaccéus Joseph (Farmer Sector)

Treasurer : Nemrod Sanon (Union Sector)

Secretary : Peterson Pierre-Louis (Protestant Sector)

France : Training of over 100 specialized police officers

From July to September 2025, the French Embassy's Internal Security Service trained over a hundred PNH police officers from the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI), the Temporary Anti-Gang Unit (UTAG), the Drug Trafficking Bureau (BLTS), the Motorized Intervention Brigade (BIM), and the Departmental Operations and Intervention Brigade (BOID). These training sessions aim to strengthen officers' skills in using their service weapons. They allowed the units to train in real-life conditions using SIMUNITIONS (non-lethal munitions) delivered by France in July. Presidential advisors and members of the government discussed various strategic issues, including national security, social stability, and the proper functioning of state institutions, without any decisions being made.

Diaspora : Two Remarkable Haitians

On Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Consulate General of Haiti in Montreal, on the sidelines of the celebration of the 267th anniversary of the birth of Jean-Jacques Dessalines, Consul General Anès Lubin, on behalf of the Haitian government, presented plaques of honor to two remarkable figures from the Haitian diaspora in Quebec :

• The Honorable Frantz Benjamin, Member of Parliament for Viau, recognized for his exemplary civic engagement;

• The Honorable Madwa-Nika Cadet, Member of Parliament for Bourassa-Sauvé, recognized for her dynamism, leadership, and defense of the values ​​of justice and solidarity.
