In the framework of the Tripartite Cooperation Brazil-Cuba-Haiti, 152 young Haitians received their diplomas as multipurpose community health workers (120) and as technicians in maintenance and repair of biomedical equipment (32).

Norberto Ramos, General Coordinator of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Haiti, stated that this graduation was the result of the effort of many people and demonstrate of what we can do when we have the will, and reiterated the commitment of Cuba "to continue to support their modest efforts," to Haiti.

Ovil Clervé, on behalf of technicians graduates considered necessary for his country this technique force that fills a gap in Haiti and thanked Cuba for its "selfless cooperation and its willingness to help."

The multipurpose community health agents will work in the prevention and the promotion of primary health care, primarily on the mother-child program, while the maintenance and repair of biomedical equipment, will work on the improvement of the delivery of health care the population, by providing specialized technical support to all medical equipment of Community referral hospitals, health centers (public and mixed) of the Ministry of Public Health and Population of Haiti (MSPP).

Recall that the health Cuban cooperants, currently offer the required training of human resources in the 10 departments of the country, an effort that will allow to prepare Haitian specialists for the development of the country and the welfare of the population.
