GSF Targeted, Responds

On the morning of Monday, September 29, several members of the Gang Supression Force (GSF) were targeted by armed individuals while on patrol in the Gros Morne area. The GSF returned fire, killing three of the attackers, while the others fled. No FRG members were injured. The FRG soldiers remained on site for some time to secure the area before returning to their base in Gonaïves. After their departure, in retaliation, members of the terrorist group "Kokorat san sas" (according to witnesses) killed residents going about their daily lives, causing at least ten deaths and numerous injuries in several localities, including Savann Long, Grépin, Dosni, and other areas of the commune.

CEP in France for Diaspora Voting

A delegation from the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), led by Vice-President Jaccéus Joseph and composed of Electoral Councilors Yves Marie Edouard and Rose Thérèse Magalie Georges, is currently in France to participate in the pilot program for Haitian diaspora voting. Through this mission, the CEP intends to continue discussions with French authorities and Haitian diaspora organizations.

10 New Armored Vehicles Arrive

On Monday, September 28, 2026, 10 armored vehicles purchased by the Haitian Treasury and ordered by the Haitian government to strengthen the operational capabilities of the Haitian National Police (PNH) (X5) and the Haitian Armed Forces (FAD'H) (X5) were received in Haiti.

ZED Airlines : 2 Inaugural Flights Announced

The CEP has not authorized any electoral campaigning

The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) informs political parties, groups, and candidates that the official electoral campaign period has not yet begun. In accordance with Article 193 of the Electoral Decree of June 2nd, 2026, the CEP alone is authorized to set and announce the official period during which electoral campaign activities will be permitted. Therefore, the CEP requests that political parties, groups of political parties, and candidates refrain from any activity resembling an electoral campaign outside the officially established period and strictly adhere to the laws and regulations governing the electoral process.
